Mercatale Val di Pesa – Florence – the Chianti Classico Marathon 2018!
On 3 June 2018 the third edition of the Chianti Classico marathon.
The Chianti Classico Marathon, will take place in Mercatale Val di Pesa. A very important appointment because it enhances our territory by offering the opportunity to individual competitors, groups and families of all countries to spend a holiday period combining it with a passion for sports.
The event:
Three routes, all starting and arriving from Piazza Vittorio Veneto, in Mercatale:
the ULTRA TRAIL of 43 km, the TRAIL of 21 km and the Nordic Walking of 10 km.
It is, in fact, a trail in a natural environment, through dirt roads, forest paths and countryside, along the river and parts of asphalt.
The route winds through the Chianti Classico vineyards, touching the new Cantine Antinori, the ancient Abbey of Badia a Passignano, the town of Greve in Chianti, the village of Montefioralle, the Castello di Verrazzano and the Castello di Gabbiano, just few meters from the Vichiaccio Country House

Discount for participants
Participants to the Chianti Classico Marathon who wish to spend a minimum stay of 2 nights at the Vichiaccio Country House can take advantage of a 10% discount by simply showing the race bib.
